Adding a payment step to your bot


Once you have added a payment gateway to your organisation you can add payment steps to your bots.  Your bots will then be able to process payments securely, compliantly and easily. If you have not yet added a payment gateway to your organisation please view the article below:

Quick Trick: Edit your bot or create a new one.  Click Create step, select Payment, fill in the fields, route to your next step and click Update Your Bot.  Don't forget to update your campaign so it uses your new bot.

Step 1

Login to your Webio account and click on Bots.  If you do not have access to bots please contact your Administrator.  Once in your bot click Create Step.  Now select Payment Step under Type.

Fill in the necessary information:

Gateway: choose from any of your available Gateways.  If you don't have any setup yet see the article below on how to add a payment Gateway.  

Adding payment gateways to your Organisation

Description: this is the value that will show up against the payment in the customer's account.
Company Name: this is displayed to the customer within the payment widget
Payment Widget Description: this is displayed to the customer within the payment widget
Currency: Select either € "Euro" or £ "Pound Sterling"
Payment value: Select the custom field name that the amount needing to be paid is stored in.  
On Success: Which step should the bot move to if successful (the system will prepend "Payment Successful" to subsequent message, if no message then "Payment Successful" sent).
On Failure: Which step should the bot move to if successful (the system will prepend "Payment failed" to subsequent message, if no message then "Payment failed" sent).

Once all the information is completed, click Update Step.

Step 3

Either create a new campaign, or refresh your existing campaign to use your new/updated bot.
