Generate An Api Key For Your Organization

Overview 

Webio blended conversations allow you to seamlessly communicate between your clients with human or automated agents. Connecting these conversations with your internal systems provides richer conversations and slicker processes.

Using Webio published APIs you can configure the business process you require and automate instructions from your internal systems to your Webio organisation.
An API, or Application Programming Interface, is a set of rules and protocols for building and interacting with software applications. It allows different software systems to communicate with each other by specifying how they should interact and exchange information.
A simple example of an API is a weather service that provides current weather information for a given location. A developer could use this API to build a weather app that shows the current temperature, humidity, and other weather data for a specific location. The developer would send a request to the weather service's API with the location information, and the API would respond with the relevant weather data.

How To Generate An Public Api Key For Your Organization

To generate an API key for your Organization:
  1. From the integration panel scroll down to the Public Api section, then click 'Generate'.
  2. The warning message below will be displayed, make sure to note down in a safe place your public API key, to continue, click 'Generate'.


      3. The API Key will be displayed.  This will remain valid against your organisation until it is deleted. Click CANCEL to close the message.  Your API Key is now stored against your organisation.


To send outbound conversations via the API you will also require a schedule ID that is associated with your organisation.  This can be retrieved from the campaign summary report within the reporting section or from Insights.
