Sending attachments on Webchat
Overview
From the Conversations screen, you can add attachments to be sent in conversations taking place across Webchat channels. As a platform user, you also have the ability to view inbound attachments sent to you by your webchat widget users.

Please note:
- Attachments cannot be sent in campaigns
- Attachments cannot be built into automated bot responses
- Only available for Conversation screen on https://newapp.webio.com/
How to send images and PDFs attachments

Quick Trick: Click the paper clip, select your file, click ATTACH FILE, type your message and hit send.
1) From within your conversation click the blue paperclip in the chat widget at the bottom of the screen.
2) Drop or click to upload a local file (PNG, JPG, JPEG, or PDF) then click ATTACH.
2) You will now see the attachment name next to the paper clip. Type your message in the free type box and message&attachment is now ready to be sent.
3) Press the Enter key or the blue Send button to send the message along with the attachment. The recipient can click on the attachment to view it.

Need to delete the attachment before you send?
1) Click the orange bar with the attachment name.
2) Click on CANCEL and the attachment will be removed.
How to view inbound attachments
Webchat widget end users can now send inbound attachments by clicking on the attachment widget icon. They can select the file they wish to send (PNG, JPG, JPEG, or PDF), click on SEND FILE, and send it within the conversation.

These attachments will appear on the Conversation screen. As a Webio user, you can click on them (Via conversation screen) to open and view them in a new browser window.
