How to configure the organization Sender IDs
Overview
The channel Sender ID it is set within each Bot from the IDs available to your Organization. Before creating a Bot you will have to set up the Sender IDs that the Bot will be sent from.
This will be dictated by the channel you want to create your bot for. For Messenger this will be your Facebook page name, for SMS you can choose either a long code (i.e. a mobile number) or a brand name. Sender IDs can be configured from Settings>Organizations Screen.

N.B.
If the SMS Sender ID is a long-code the recipients will have the possibility to reply to the conversation. For brand name (short-code), recipients will not have the ability to reply to messages received.
To configure the Sender IDs of your Organization:
- Navigate to the General Setting screen of your Organizational Unit.
- Scroll down until you see 'Channels'. From here you can configure your channel IDs.
You will need to confirm the URL you want webchat active for. Once this is active you can build webchat Bots in your organisation and place these live on an inbound campaign. Webchat works with all existing bot functionality.
The webchat widget can be customised to match your brand colours and include your logo, this is done by editing the script we provide you before inserting it onto your webpage.
For Messenger you will have to log in to your Facebook Business account and follow the procedure to link it.
For SMS, Viber and WhatsApp you can follow the procedure described in below.
Click on 'Add New'.
Select the channel you want your Organizational unit to use.
Click Existing - Select the desired channel address from the ones appearing in the field. Speak with your Administrator or get in touch with support@webio.com if this field is empty.
- Choose a description for your channel. The description will appears in the 'Sent From' field when configuring a Bot.
- Click Submit.
How to add a new Brand Name Sender ID to your org
If you have already a short-code assigned to your Organization, you can change the name of the Brand Name displayed or create multiple ones.
Please contact
support@webio.com if you require a short-code to be assigned to your Organization.
- Select 'Add New
- Select SMS, (For other types of new sender IDs, please contact your organisation admin or support@webio.com.)
- Select 'New' then fill in Channel Address and Description.
- Click on 'Submit'
