Creating a campaign

Creating a campaign

Before you start

Once you have logged into your account, you will land on the Campaign view, if not click into Campaigns.  You'll see any campaigns that are running or waiting to run for the current day.

You can set up either inbound or outbound campaigns within Webio.  Outbound campaigns can be set to go as a Once Off campaign (this means the data you upload will be sent as part of this process), or a Daily campaign (this means that you set up a campaign template through the steps below and data will be sent whenever you drop files to the campaign.
Before starting decide what your campaign file will be called (for Daily campaigns this needs to be unique) and have a test file ready.
Check the following links to learn how to create an Outbound Campaign or an Inbound Campaign on our new Web App

Setting up a new campaign

Click CREATE CAMPAIGN

Now give your campaign a name - something that will allow it to be easily identified.

If this will be a reoccurring campaign, remember to change the dates as required.

Click CREATE CAMPAIGN

Take your sample file and drag it into the red box below.

For a one-off campaign this contact data will receive the Bot, for a daily campaign they won't, instead this file is a template that your future uploads must be structured and named the same as.

Choose either Daily of Once-Off.  If you select Daily, you will now need to set the days and times at which you want to be able to import data.  When you're happy click DEFINE IMPORT SCHEDULE.  Click DEFINE FIELD MAPPINGS.

Your column headings will have pulled through, if you need to alter the field names you can do so under the Target column.  Select the Type of each field.  Most fields can be set to Data.  You will need to set the field that contains the phone number or ID you want to send to as one of the ID types e.g. if you are sending SMS set the field that contains the mobile number to type = Phone Number.  Click Generate Preview.

The field that you tag as CustomerID will appear in your data export.

If you have used fields within your bots, use the same name here
Click through to the scheduler, then select the blue schedule calendar

Tick the days you want to send your bots.  Then set the start and end times, the bot you are sending and the rate per minute.  Once that's all done click CREATE SCHEDULE.

Click COMPLETE IMPORT & SCHEDULE CREATION.  You've now finished creating your campaign.

To test the daily campaign you'll need to drag and drop a test file in.  Click on the list view, locate your campaign and click the orange upload arrow.
