Text Formatting on Webchat

Overview

This article describes how to use the text formatting to enhance your customer webchat experience. This feature allows you to customize your messages text with different styles, such as bold, italic, strikethrough, and more.

You can also create lists, headings, and code and line breaks to organize your information and make it more readable. Text formatting can help you communicate more effectively and emphasize important points. 

How to format your text

  1. How to insert line breaks

To insert line breaks, simply press 'Space' key twice then 'Return' key at the end of your line.

You can insert hyperlinks as regular text. The message will display a clickable hyperlink.

  1. How to generate an header

To generate an header use ## followed by a space, at the start of a new line, it will produce a Header.

E.G. ## Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet will produce: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.
  1. How to produce italic text

Use * at the start and at the end of your text, it will make it Italic. 
Notes
E.G. *Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet*  will produce: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.
  1. How to produce bold text

Use ** at the start and at the end of your text, it will make it Bold.

E.G. *Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet* will produce Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.

Use *** at the start and at the end of your text, it will make it Bold&Italic.

Use ~~ at the start and at the end of your text, it will strikethrough it.

  1. How to produce an ordered list

Notes
To produce an ordered list use:
